Kaymar in the Community

Kaymar has been providing adult and pediatric therapy, dietetics and social work services to Community Care Access Centres in Ontario since 2000.  Our rehabilitation professionals strive to support individuals and families affected by disabling conditions and diminishing health concerns to restore and enhance their ability to live, learn, work and function in the community.

To assist patients in achieving their goals we work closely with provincial support agencies such as the Ontario March of Dimes, Ontario Disability Support Program and the Assistive Devices Program, among others.  Kaymar maintains established conections with important resource organizations such as the Ontario Palliative Care and End-of-Life Network, the Regional Infection Control Network South-Eastern Ontario, the Stroke Network of Eastern Ontario and Public Health, to name a few.

Kaymar representives collaborate with and consult to other Service Providers in the community and provide training for therapy specific strategies that assist in enhancing patient outcomes.

We work within an integrated community care system wherein collaboration and communication with the South East Community Care Access Centre (CCAC) and its care Coordinators results in maximal resource utilization and enhanced patient outcomes.  As a contracted service provider with the South East CCAC, Kaymar participates in and complies with a stringent system of provincially mandated accountability measures and reporting.

As an appreciative partner with the South East CCAC we are pleased to participate in and advise CCAC working committees such as Wound Care, Reporting and Recording Committee, Service Provider Relations Framework Joint Implementation Committee, as well as Supply and Equipment Products and Processes Review.

Our goal to provide high quality services is paramount.  With a comprehensive performance management program, Kaymar continually monitors its services using recognized tools and processes, including patient satisfaction surveys (see, HOME page), to ensure that our service provision is up to date, efficient and effective.  In accordance with our mission statement (see, About menu), Kaymar is committed to goal directed care founded on evidence based practice.
